Now I am slowly filling more pages in my sketch book. There are many small daily experiences, that will, over time, sum up to be my visual diary of the “small things” that I did and saw in 2016.

I enjoy leaving my sketchbook open, and returning to it during the day to continue to fill it up with more flowers, or other things I love.

I often leave it on my table…. open ….. and it will be there, easily accessible for more art work.  I want to do this book when I am relaxed, so I will adding new things when I feel like it.  Anyway….. when it comes to filling up a sketchbook you know that you are not trying to win a big prize for being the fastest or best drawer. So why not just make your favourite drink and let the inspiration flow?

How to be creative, watercolours , watercolour. ink.I LOVE this spiral binding Carnet Aquarelle sketch book  from  HAHNEMÜHLE that is 400g/m2 (188 lbs).

This is a very thick paper of the matt watercolour board works so well with any watercolour, ink, gouache and is ideal for creative travel diaries and rough treatments and it does everything I want to do. I am seriously amazed. (All the opinions in my blog are my own. I tell you what I really think and no one is paying me to review their products.)

  6. Your sketchbook pages are beautiful and the paper in it looks great. I’m looking forward to using some good paper when I finish my little journal with its thin paper.
